Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Carter, Jr., age 65, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Pontiac Michigan, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Carter, Sr. and the late Beverly Jean Shell Carter. He worked as a maintenance manager for two local apartment complexes. Bob played baseball for the Kansas City Royals and loved to bowl in his senior bowling league. He is survived by his wife, Danielle Baer Carter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lee "Trey" Carter, III (Sarah) of Simpsonville, SC and Christopher Gage Carter (Miranda) of Anderson, SC; a granddaughter, Alyssa Cate Carter; and his beloved dog, Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Wayne Carter. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 in the chapel, and the family will receive friends again immediately following the service.
