Robert C. Crawford Anderson, SC Robert C. "Bob" Crawford, age 80, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born March 30, 1934 in Syracuse, NY, Bob was the son of the late Melvin B. Crawford and the late Norma Tappen Crawford. He was a graduate of Morrisville State College, Morrisville, NY. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, a volunteer at the Anderson Free Clinic and enjoyed bowling in various leagues. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Bennett Crawford; his loving children, Debra Crawford, Steven Crawford and his wife Lea, Peter Crawford and his wife Patty, David Crawford and his wife Leslie, Brian Crawford and his wife Kristin, Jessica Crawford and her husband Thomas Cooney and Jennifer Crawford-Doody and her husband Brett; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and his springer spaniel, Buddy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirleyann Redmond. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Grace Episcopal Church with the Reverend Jack Hardaway officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
