Robert Victor Deal, age 82, passed away on October 4, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Deal and the late Lidmilla Zore Deal. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bob was an avid racing fan having spent the early part of his career working at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He followed his love of racing throughout his career working in the automotive industry and later in retirement acting as a consultant. Click here to view a recent interview with Bob in which he speaks to his career: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26ZEVpTKNX0 He is survived by his wife, Janet Robinson Deal, of the home; a son, Robert Charles Deal, of San Francisco, CA; two daughters, Wynn Anne Volkmer, of Westminster, MD, Lindsay Janet Dohmen and her husband Sean, of Anderson, SC; a brother, Thomas Deal and his wife Cathy, of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Doris Gafner and husband Fred of Greenfield WI, and Susan Farmer and husband Rod, of Indianapolis, IN; his Sister in Law, Shirley Deal of Indianapolis IN; and three grandchildren, Jacob Dohmen, of Chicago, IL, Rachel Nicole FilemyrTonui and her husband Leonard Tonui, of Owings Mill, MD, and Brittany Wynn Volkmer, of Rockville, MD. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Deal and a grandson, Todd Adam Smith. No services have been scheduled.
