Robert Preston Edwards, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born June 7, 1931, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Robert Forest Edwards and Mattie Lee Tribble Edwards. He was married to the love of his life Jewel Broom Edwards for 73 years until her death in 2023.

Robert was the owner and operator of Edwards Used Cars where he spent many years working alongside his son Bobby Lee. He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Robert "Bobby" Lee Edwards (Jackie) and David Preston Edwards (Karen); grandchildren, Jon Robert Edwards, Joshua Edwards, Chad Edwards, Colby Preston Edwards, and Kyle Preston Edwards; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Robert Dickard officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
