Robert Vinson Elliott, age 86, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born September 23, 1935 in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Furman Vinson Elliott and Janie Lucille Wilson Plummer. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Elliott Singleton and second wife, Juanita Burton Elliott. Robert was a US Navy veteran and later worked as a sales representative for Craddock Terry Shoe Company in Lynchburg, Virginia, receiving numerous awards for his accomplishments. He attended Concord Baptist Church, was a member of the masonic lodge and enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, golf, and cooking for his family. After retirement he took great pride in driving for Champion Coach of Greenville, SC, transporting collegiate and professional athletic teams. He is survived by his daughters, Sheryl Elliott Hinson (David) of Spartanburg and COL, USAF (ret) Wanda Elliott Rushton (Pat) of Statesville, NC; brother, Eugene Plummer (Carolyn) of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Ryan Marshall Hinson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, William Elliott Rushton of Aldie, VA, Marian Rushton Moore (John) of Charlotte, NC and Ian Patrick Rushton of Statesville, NC; and great grandchild, Mary Elliott Moore.
