Robert Jewel Ellison, Sr., 76, husband of Linda Nelson Ellison, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Travelers Rest, SC on September 18, 1942, Robert was the son of the late Jewel O. Ellison and Marcelle Hanvey Scott. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed tinkering with cars and trucks. He also owned and operated Ellison Used Cars and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Linda, Robert is survived by his son, Robert Jewel Ellison, Jr.; and three grandchildren, Lexi and Aliyah Ellison, and Kara Hayes. Robert was the last of the immediate family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Double Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Caudell officiating.
