Wesley Farmer Anderson, SC Robert Wesley Farmer, age 91, formerly of Asbury Park Road, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Marchbanks Assisted Living. Born on May 19, 1922, he was the son of the late John Dillard Farmer and the late Nettie Elliott Farmer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from the Gerrish Milliken Plant in Sandy Springs. Wesley was an avid farmer. He was a member of Barnett's Grove Cathedral of Love and enjoyed cleaning the church for many years. He is survived by his siblings, Florence Perry, of Anderson, SC, Harold Farmer, of Hot Springs, AR, Carrie Mae Scroggs, of Anderson, SC and Joe Farmer, of Anderson, SC; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Gambrell Farmer; four brothers and two sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Vernon Soles and Reverend Curtis Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.
