BOB HANCOCK July 1, 1931 - September 2, 2005ANDERSON, SCMr. Robert Marvin Hancock, age 74, husband of Norma Allen Hancock of 3309 Algonquin Avenue, Anderson, SC, died Friday, September 02, 2005 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on July 1, 1931, he was the son of the late H. C. Hancock and Julia Ivester Hancock. He was the retired owner of Hancock Appliance Service in Anderson. He was a former member of the Anderson Bowling League and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include his wife, Norma Allen Hancock of the home; son, Robert A. Hancock and his wife, Kathy of Anderson; daughter, Pamela McCullough and her husband, Ricky of Anderson; two grandchildren, Amy Hancock and Lee Ann Whisnant and her husband, Brad and three great-grandchildren, Courtney Chamblee, Carleigh Prince and B. J. Whisnant.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at 3:00 pm at Canaan Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Jerry Parnell, Rev. Joe Whisnant and Rev. J. Floyd Stansell. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mr. Hancock will be placed in the church at 2:30 pm on Sunday.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
