ANDERSON, SC'Mr. Robert David Hopkins, age 64, husband of Mary Louise Bridges Hopkins of 112 Saddle Trail, Anderson, SC died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at AnMed Medical Health Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Greenville County on August 7, 1941, Mr. Hopkins was a son of the late Cleo Hopkins and the late Bonnie Phillips Hopkins. He retired from property management.Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife Louise B. Hopkins of the home; two daughters, Lisa Bennefield of Greenville, SC and Rene Kirkus of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Houston Hopkins of Travelers Rest, SC and Stanley Hopkins of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters, Sue Jones and Penny Mullinax both of Greer, SC; four grandsons, Barry 'B.J.' Kirkus, Rocky Kirkus, Kevin Driver all of Anderson, SC and David 'D.J.' Bennefield of Greenville, SC; one granddaughter, Lindsey Perry of Anderson, SC; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Kirkus, Emma Perry, and Landon Edmond.In addition to his parents, Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Batson and a great-granddaughter, Hayleigh Kirkus.The family is at the residence.
