O'DELL MOORE December 27, 1940 - September 12, 2008SANDY SPRINGS, SCMr. Robert O'Dell Moore, age 67 of 5615 Highway 76, Apt.5, Sandy Springs, SC, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008 at his residence.Born in Laurens, SC on December 27, 1940, Mr. Moore was a son of the late James C. Moore and Bessie Lee Jenkins Moore. He served in the United States Army Reserves then enlisted in the Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as a painter.Survivors include his sons, Robert O. Moore, Jr., and Richard V. Moore, both of Greenwood, SC; brother, James Marshall Moore of Pendleton, SC; sisters, Ramona Davis of Belton, SC, Janette Black of Lytle, TX and Joan Lawrence of Winston-Salem, NC; four grandchildren, Richard V. Moore, Jr., Randy Moore, Kimberly Moore and Robert O. Moore III; one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Dawn Moore, step-grandson, William Ray Edmond, brothers, Leon, Larry and Randall Moore and sister, Diane Larcom.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 6-8 pm.The family will be at the home of his brother, Marshall Moore, 210 Kirk Lane, Apt.12, Pendleton, SC.Flowers are optional.
