Robert Alan Nauta, 73, husband of Linda Jane Huber Nauta of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Morristown, NJ on November 8, 1942, Mr. Nauta was the son of the late Peter William Nauta, and Edith Alva Ferguson Nauta. He was a self-employed contractor. Robert was a sweet and gentle soul and loved by all he knew. He will be truly missed. In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by a son, Jeffery Edward Kerstner (Mary) of Damacus, PA; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Basile (Anthony) of Williamston, Renee Ann Bond (Kevin) of Anderson, SC and Jessica Lynn Yuksel (Gokhan) of Highland Lakes, NJ; brothers, Arthur Ronald Nauta (Marie) of Lancaster, SC, Leon DeGray Nauta (Marcia) of Williamston, SC and Dale Keith Nauta (Cathy) of Washington, NJ; sisters-in-law, Loretta Nauta of Shallotte, NC and Jean Nauta of PA, eight grandchildren; Heather, Jamie, Robert, Nicole, Tristian, Rebecca, Michael and Rayne and several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter William Nauta and James Richard Nauta. No services are planned at this time.
