ROBERT 'BOB' PHILLIPS October 16, 1931 - January 4, 2006 ANDERSON, SCMr. Robert Lee Phillips, age 74, 1523 Cherokee Circle, Anderson, SC, husband of the late Susie Minor Phillips, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on October 16, 1931, Mr. Phillips was a son of the late J. B. Phillips and Hattie Parker Phillips. He was retired from the United States Navy having served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He worked several years at True Temper in Anderson and attended Broadway Lake Baptist Church and the First Creek Baptist Church.He is survived by a son, Johnny Lee Phillips of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Ray Phillips of Muncie, Indiana and Melvin Phillips of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Frances Freeman and Margaret Hanks, both of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Bruce Phillips.
