Robert Bothwell Pickens, Jr. age 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born May 15, 1961, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Eugenia "Jean" Drake Pickens and the late Robert "Bobby" Pickens.

Robert is a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, class of 1979. In his teenage years, Robert was considered a daredevil. He was a jovial outgoing man that was fearless and action-seeking. He loved going fast and anything that moved fast. Hunting, fishing motorcycles, boats and cars were his favorite past-times. There is no doubt Robert loved life to the fullest. But he loved his family, friends and Daisy with more gusto and zest. He will be missed by all that have had the pleasure to know and love him.

Robert is survived by his mother, Eugenia "Jean" Drake Pickens; daughter, Laurel Paige Brereton Garrabrant (T.J.); brother, Darby Drake Pickens (Jenny); grandson, Benjamin Andrew Brereton; nephew, Owen Drake Pickens; and his four-legged best friend, golden retriever, Daisy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Sean Brereton.
