He was a United States Navy veteran, a retired truck driver and of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his wife, Betty House Bridges of the home; sons, Tony Steven 'Bo' Bridges of the home, Randy Joe Bridges of Danielsville, GA and Stanley Robert Bridges of Anderson, SC; daughter, Teresa Whitman of Pendleton, SC; sister Ann Sheridan of Commerce, GA; four grandchildren; one step- grandson and three great-grandsons.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Maxie and Peggy Donald and a brother.The Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Bob Hicks. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Anderson, SC with Military Honors.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
