SANGSTEROCTOBER 23, 1931 - SeptEMBER 15, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Robert Lee Sangster, age 75, husband of Grace Sangster of 307 Dixie Drive, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Irwin County, Georgia on October 23, 1931, he was a son of the late Robert Abram Sangster and Ida Lee Sheffield Sangster. Robert retired after twenty-four years of service with the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Orrville Baptist Church, the All Age Sunday School Class, and served as a Deacon. Mr. Sangster was also a Mason.He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Grace Welborn Sangster, of the home; children: Robert L. Sangster, Jr. of Clarkesville,GA, Sonya Pitts of Colorado Springs, CO, and Yvonne Fender of Hickory, NC; stepchildren: Douglas Moore of Gaffney, SC and Sheri Cameralengo of Hickory, NC; eleven grandchildren & seven great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to his parents, Mr. Sangster was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Ruth Young Sangster, five sisters and one brother.The Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, September 17, 2007 at Orrville Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Wendell Bannister officiating.
