Anderson, SC Robert Joseph Schaaff, age 74, husband of Charlotte Sophie Saplin Schaaff, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Schenectady, NY, on May 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Catherine McDermott Schaaff. Mr. Schaaff served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a retired product engineer with 40 years of service with General Electric. He was a member of the Elfun Society, and he volunteered with Meals on Wheels. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Debora L. Robinson and her husband Randall of Anderson; his son, Joseph Michael Schaaff and his wife Sandy of Greer, SC; 2 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
