Robert Harold Simpson, age 75, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House. Born February 13, 1946, in Walhalla, he was the son of the late O'Dell Simpson and Ruth Meece Simpson. He was married to Victorianna Gonesto Simpson until her death in June 2020. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Centerville Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Thomas L. Simpson of Anderson; granddaughters, Ashley Donielle Simpson and Jessica Brooke Simpson; great granddaughters, Serenity Marie Brock and Kalea Wright. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Andrew Simpson; and brothers, Wilbur Leon Simpson and Henry Simpson. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 9:45-10:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Chapel with Rev. Tom Perry officiating. Burial will be at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.
