BUFORD WHITWORTHNovember 11, 1917 - March 18, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Robert Buford Whitworth, age 89, loving husband of 62 years to Mildred 'Mim' Geddings Whitworth, of 225 Greenmeadow Circle, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at the Hospice House.Born in Lavonia GA, Mr. Whitworth was a son of the late Elisha Whitworth and Roxie Wilson Whitworth. He retired as manager of Scarboro Auto Accessories after 32 years of service. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church, and was a United States Army WWII veteran.Surviving are his wife, Mildred 'Mim' Geddings Whitworth, of the home; his son, Bob Whitworth (Becky) of Anderson; his daughter, Sandra Whitfield (Ken) of Anderson; his sister, Sallie Sue Scarboro of Anderson; his grandchildren, Sherri Tribble, Jennifer Rollins and Ashley Williams and four great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 19, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
