He was formerly employed with Young's Plumbing. He was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church, but attended Cross Roads Fellowship.Armon is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy McGee Hanks; a sister, Diane Young of Starr, SC; a brother, Kenneth Hanks and his wife, Connie, of Iva, SC; brother-in-laws, Hub McGee and his wife, Linda, Jesse McGee and his wife, Mary, all of Honea Path, SC, and Clemp McGee and his wife, Diane, of Ware Shoals, SC; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Whitt and her husband, Jimmy, of Williamston, SC, Sharon Phillips and her husband, Dennis, of Belton, SC; and his numerous loving nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by two nephews, Brent Young and Brian Hanks.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Baptist Church, Belton, SC with the Reverends Carroll Plemmons and Paul Cooper officiating.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comThe McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
