DAVIS November 15, 1933 - May 30, 2006 IVA, SCMr. Roger Hornsby Davis, age 72, husband of Marguerite Davis of 108 Debora Street, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at his residence.Born in Iva, SC on November 15, 1933, Mr. Davis was a son of the late William Henry Davis and Eula Mae Brown Davis. He retired from Monsanto in 1985 with 26 years of service. He was a Mason, former member of the Lions Club and Gideons International. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva where he served as Deacon.In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by daughters, Sherry League and her husband Jerry of Starr, Bettie Peele and her husband, Billy, of Iva, SC; five grandchildren, Lynn Brock, Shannon Farthing, Rebecca Hanks, Susan League and Josh Peele and five great-grandchildren; brother Stan Davis of Iva, SC; sisters, Helen Gaines of Anderson, SC and Gloria Killin of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger H. Davis, Jr.; brother, Leland Davis and sister, Bernice Williams.The Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Iva officiated by Reverend Jerry Gray and Reverend Paul Pinson. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mr. Davis will be placed in the church at 10:30 am on Friday.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Iva Building Fund, P. O.
