ROGER LEISTEN Roger Carl Leisten, age 77, of 206 Fieldcrest Drive, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Exalted Health and Rehab of Iva. Born on February 19, 1938, in Fairport, NY, he was the son of the late Carl John Leisten and the late Grace Goodwin Leisten. For fifty-three years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Sandra Gail McClelion Leisten of the residence. Following his high school graduation Mr. Leisten enlisted in the US Navy, where he retired after a career spanning 22 years, which included service in the Vietnam War. Following his retirement from the US Navy, Mr. Leisten worked as an electrician for Michelin in Sandy Springs for over 20 years. In addition to his wife, Sandra, Mr. Leisten is survived by a son, Bruce Leisten and his wife, Amanda, of Anderson; a daughter, Sherry Martin and her husband, Mark, of Anderson; also surviving are several grandchildren. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Private entombment will follow at a later date.
