Ronald John Cartlidge, age 64, of 1721 Manse Jolly Road, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Regency Hospital in Greenville, with his beloved family by his side. Born on June 28, 1952,in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late John Clifford Cartlidge and the late Madaline Mikita Cartlidge. For forty years he was the loving and devoted husband of Beth Cartlidge of the residence. Ron was employed as a sales representative in the multi-media industry. After graduating from high school, he attended St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, CT, and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Communication Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Cartlidge was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served as financial secretary of the Knights of Columbus. Ron was a 4th degree Knight. His hobby and his passion was his children and grandchildren as well as his church. In addition to his wife, Beth, Ron is survived by a son, Richard Ronald "Ricky" Cartlidge and his wife Carrie, of Pelzer, SC; three daughters, Christina Anne Cross and her husband Kevin of Martinez, GA, Laura Catherine Larson and her husband, Brad of Sudbury, MA, and Rebecca Marie "Becky" Manning and her husband, Josh of Rock Hill, SC; fourteen grandchildren, Jackson, Stella, Rhett Cartlidge; Andrew, Carolyn, Benjamin and Jacob Cross; Leah, Wyatt, and Grant Larson; Lilly, Claire and Caleb Manning. In addition, a fourteenth grandchild is expected in October. The family will be at their residence, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 6 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Philip Gillespie officiating.
