October 28, 1938 - December 18, 2010Anderson, SCRonald Jerry Brookshire, Sr., age 72, of 506 Farmer Street, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Amarillo North West Hospital.Born in Ulysses, Kansas on October 28, 1938 he was a son of the late William Verlyn and Ruth Brookshire. Mr. Brookshire was a graduate Ulysses High School, served in the United States Navy, and was member of the Navy Band. He was a graduate from the Columbia Bible College, received a Master's Degree from the Dallas Theological Seminary, and also received a Nursing Degree from Lander University. Mr. Brookshire worked for 18 years with the Anderson Memorial Hospital, 20 years with Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital, and several years with the Willow Creek Nursing Home. He was a member of the New Spring Community Church.Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Rice Brookshire, of the home; son, Ronald J. Brookshire, Jr. of Anderson, and his children: Victoria Grace, Maria Danielle, and Jacob Alexander Brookshire, all of Anderson brothers; Dick Brookshire of Ulysses, Kansas, Larry Brookshire, of Hoxie, Kansas, Donnie Brookshire of Dallas, Texas, and Terry Brookshire of Pampa, Texas; a sister, Joyce B. McNeeley of McLean, Texas, In addition to his parents; Mr. Brookshire was predeceased by a daughter-in law, Christie Lynn Patterson Brookshire.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Dr. Wendell Bannister and Reverend Buddy Fredrickson officiating. Interment will be in the M.J.
