He was a United States Army veteran and was employed as an auto mechanic in Hardwick, VT before moving to the Greenville and Starr area in 1976. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed cooking and helping his brother with the opening of his new restaurant.Survivors include his wife, of the home; son, Shawn Wright of Craftsbury, VT; daughters, Michelle Fassett of Starr, Ronda Benway of Anderson and Denise Compton of Williamston; brothers, Steve, Frank, Henry, Bruce and Jack Fassett; sisters, Carol Perry, Diane Draper, Heidi Putvain, JoAnne Kirwin and Patricia Chowning; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Karlene Pickett; brother, Kendall Fassett and grandson, Ronald Ditzler.A Family Memorial Service was held at J & N Diner.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comThe McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
