James Ronald McGill, age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at his home. Born November 20, 1948, in Anderson, he was the son of the late James Albert McGill and Clelia Hedden McGill Blanton. Ronald was a graduate of TL Hanna High School and was formerly the assistant manager of West Anderson Water Company. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Cynthia Ann Hughes McGill; stepson, Jason Simmons and his wife Sue Ellen; sister, Karen Sciantarelli; and grandchildren, Hannah, Bethany, and Sarah. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
