Ronald Carroll Peebles, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston, SC. Born March 21, 1944, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of C.H. Peebles and Edith Norris Peebles. He was married to his loving wife, Marlene, for 59 years. Dedicated to his work, he held his last two positions for 57 years of his employment. He worked for BellSouth for 25 years and continued as an independent contractor for another 32 years. A loyal fan of Furman University, he enjoyed spending his leisure time attending football games with his family. He was an avid golfer and a gifted handy man who could truly fix anything. He was preceded in death by his father, C.H. Peebles; a great nephew, Daniel Price; and his two brothers, Gregory Peebles and Joey Peebles. He is survived by his wife, Carole Marlene Price Peebles; a son, David Peebles; a daughter, Pamela Andersen; and a grandson, Dylan Andersen. He is also survived by his mother, Edith Norris Peebles. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 12 noon at Covenant Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 am - 11:45 am prior to the service.
