He was an ordained minister, a church planter, and a General Contractor. He pastored churches in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and South Carolina for 52 years. He served as architect, designer, and foreman of numerous major building projects over the years. He also built several homes and did general contract labor. The joy of his life was his train, The Mighty Micah, which he built with his own hands. He loved to take his train to festivals where he would spend hours bringing joy into the hearts of children and their parents. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking and watching the New York Yankees nightly. Most of all, his life mission was to love people and bring them encouragement. His life verse was Psalm 100:2; "Serve the Lord with gladness…" He is survived by his loving wife Donna Rogers with whom he had just celebrated 53 years of marriage on June 22nd, 2016.
