He retired from Owen Corning Fiberglas after 34 years of service. He was a member of River Street Baptist Church. Ronnie was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, friend, brother, uncle and father-in-law. His life was characterized by loving and caring for his family and others. He was a selfless and dedicated husband. He was a fighter and fought hard for 10 months with pancreatic cancer.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Addis Cape and her husband, Scotty, of Anderson, SC and Heather Addis Williams and her husband, Scott, of Honea Path, SC; a brother, Oscar Addis and his wife, Diane, of Townville, SC; two sisters, Mary Freeman and Vernie Patterson and her husband, Clyde, all of Anderson, SC; and five grandchildren, J.C. Bridges, Colt Bridges, Taylor Williams, Shanna Williams and Dillon Williams.In addition to his parents, Mr. Addis is preceded in death by a brother, William Edward 'Boots' Addis and two sisters, Annie Mae Webb and Loraine Addis.The Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Tommy Dickson, John Davis and Sam Duncan officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Those serving as pallbearers will be Calvin Heaton, Scott Williams, Chris Brady, Shannon Hood, Terrance Caudle and Steve Webb. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
