Ronald Eugene Allen, age 76, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at his home.

Born December 15, 1947, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Ace Lee Allen and the late Marion Wood Allen. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Eugene Allen; and a brother, Bobby Lee Allen; and four-legged best friend, his golden retriever Max.

Ronnie retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 44 years with the company. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He was the Vice President of the Burton Creek Hunting Club and enjoyed going to Santee fishing with his brothers. He attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple. He was a hero to his sons, and he loved his grandbabies more than anything. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Dianne Shinall Allen; sons, Steve Allen (Katrina), and Chad Allen (Melanie); grandchildren, Kylee Lynn Allen, Sydnee Elisa Allen, and Ashtyn Taylor Allen; brothers, James Edward Allen (Diane), Charles Terry Allen (Fran), and Calvin Louis Allen.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.
