Ronald David Boggs, age 57, of Belton, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 24, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Born in Anderson on September 26, 1958, he was the son of David Ray Boggs and Jean Ellison Boggs of Belton. Mr. Boggs was a graduate of Palmetto High School, Class of 1976. He enjoyed farming with his Dad, and later was owner of David Boggs Trucking Company. He was also a truck driver. Ronnie was a talented musician as he played several instruments but his main love was the electric lead guitar. He has played music since he was eight years old. Mr. Boggs was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boggs is survived by his wife, Cindi Moore Boggs of the home; a son, Michael David Boggs of Belton and a step-son, Joey Brayden of the home. A daughter, Brittany Boggs Williams and her husband, Seth, of Belton; two brothers, Bobby Ray Boggs and his wife, Pam of Pendleton, and Terry Lee Boggs of Belton; a niece, Sarah Boggs of Belton; three grandchildren, Ryker, Uryiah and Leighton Williams, and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, T.S. and Ruth Boggs, and maternal grandparents, Gonzerlee and Ethel Ellison. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mr. Boggs will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 12 p.m. in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bagwell officiating. Interment will follow at Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
