Ronnie Eldon Rousey, 76, of Iva, SC, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born March 21, 1947, in Elbert County, GA, he was the son of the late E. Lloyd Rousey and the late Ina Ruth Dickerson Rousey. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Rousey.

Ronnie worked as plant engineer for Royalco for many years. He loved being outdoors and spent his time fishing, playing golf or just doing yardwork. Ronnie loved people and loved entertaining family and friends. Out of all his loves, playing and spending time with the grandchildren and great grands was his most treasured.

Left to cherish his memory, is his wife, Brenda Lowie Rousey; sons, Ted Rousey and Ronnie Pierce; brothers, Kenneth Rousey, Bobby Rousey and Travis Rousey; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Iva. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Gray and Rev. Paul Pinson officiating. Ronnie will be laid to rest at Iva City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Iva-Building Fund.
