Obituary

Ronnie Thurman Williams, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC on December 28, 1945, he was the son of the late Buddy Thurman Williams and the late Inez Clark Williams. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from AnMed as a Radiology Courier in 2011. He was a dedicated member of Canaan Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and worked with the children. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Bush Williams; two daughters, Shannon Hutchins and her husband Ben, and Amanda Milford and her husband Scott, both of Anderson, SC; brothers, David Williams, of Pickens, SC and Larry Williams, of Easley, SC; a sister, Connie Southerlin, of Travelers Rest, SC; and four grandchildren, Christopher Dyar and his wife Brittany, Jared Milford and his wife Jennifer, Ty Adams, and Jordan Milford. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Canaan Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Canaan Youth Blast c/o Canaan Baptist Church, 1834 South Murray Avenue, Anderson, SC 29624.
