IVA, SC'Mrs. Rosa Bell Hall Compton, age 92, wife of the late Garrett H. Compton, formerly of Iva, SC died on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA.Born on July 10, 1913 in Franklin County, GA, Mrs. Hall was the daughter of the late Thomas Rufus Hall and the late Katie Cameron Hall. She retired from Jackson Mills and was a member of First Baptist Church of Iva.Mrs. Hall is survived by one grandson, Scott Phillips of Starr, SC and two great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Compton Phillips; three brothers, Rufus, Doug, and J.C. Hall; one sister; and one grandson, Benjamin K. Phillips.The family is at their respective homes.
