ROSELYN K. WHITNEYDECEMBER 8, 1935 - DeceMBER 24, 2009WESTMINSTER, SC ' Roselyn Mary Kreger Whitney, age 74, of 346 Chickasaw Drive, wife of Theodore E. Whitney, Sr., passed away on December 23, 2009, after a lengthy illness.Born on December 8, 1935, in Erie, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Michael Kreger and Anna Marie Hiabach Kreger. In the 70's, she was a small business owner and Realtor in Ohio. In later years, she was an Antique dealer in South Carolina and Georgia. She is survived by her husband, Theodore E. Whitney, Sr., of the home; a daughter, Laura Palo and husband, Randy of Lake Worth, FL; two sons: Franklin Paul Zappitella and wife, Jackie of Baxley, GA, and Douglas Zappitella and wife, Cindy of Anderson, SC; two brothers: Paul Kreger of Erie, PA, and Gerard Kreger of Lake City, PA; two sisters: Mary Grace Kreger of Erie, PA, and Marsha Gay Deifenbach of Erie, PA; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to her parents, three brothers preceded her in death: Joseph, Charles, and Duane Kreger; and one sister, Joan Heyer.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2009.
