Roy McAlister, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Seneca, SC on May 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Zeke McAlister and the late Leila Stevens McAlister. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from LaFrance Mills after many years. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church. He is survived by his son, Steven McAlister; and a daughter, Stacey Harrison and her husband John. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Swaney McAlister; and several brothers and sisters. The Graveside Service will be held at Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jimmy Cox and Reverend Heath Bowie officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson County Veteran's Affairs, 2404 North Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
