Ruby Lee Eubanks Essary, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Nancy Hart Nursing Home. Born in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Olin Eubanks and the late Mary Eubanks. She worked for JC Penney and the South Carolina State Government. Ruby was a member of the Eastern Star and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, Johnny Milton Essary, of Middlesboro, KY; her daughter, Elaine Adkins, of Anderson, SC; a brother, Donald Eubanks, of Laurens, SC; a sister, Louise Davis, of Laurens, SC; a sister-in-law, Pauline Todd, of Middlesboro, KY; six grandchildren, Johnny Essary, James Essary, Jeff Essary, Sean Adkins, Tim Adkins and John Redmon; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Essary; a daughter, Sylvia Jean Redmon; and two brothers, James and Charles Eubanks.
