Ruby Robinson Fletcher, 93, of Anderson, widow of the late Robert Henry Fletcher, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her home. Born in Walhalla, SC, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Geneva Hood Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Peterson, Winona Perry, and Juanita King; her brothers, Lamar Robinson and Edgar Robinson; her sisters-in-law Nellie Robinson, Leigh Robinson, Frances Robinson, Willie Mae Reeves, Sarah Jenkins and Sybil Traynum; and brothers-in-law, Ernie Peterson, Joe Forrester, Elton Perry, Don King and Charles Vincent Fletcher. Ruby retired from Southern Bell after over 35 years of service. She was a member of The Pioneers and a faithful member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Maude Forrester of Greer and her sister-in-law, Sue Fletcher of Easley. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Wayne Peterson (Lynn), Martha Johnson (Randall, deceased), Robert Perry (Debbie, deceased), Michael Peterson (Penny), Susan DuBois (Danny), Debbi Donmoyer (Jim), Cindy Hudgens (Richard), Jimmy Reeves (Beth), Bill Jenkins (Dee), Jo Bates (Ronnie) and Mike Jenkins (Cheryl). She was preceded in death by her nephews; Jimmy Robinson (Gina, surviving), Thomas Perry (Kim, surviving) and Sammy Reeves. She is also survived by her amazing caregiver of over 13 years, Nancy Maroney of Townville. She also had 2 amazing weekend caregivers, Linda Freeman and Theresa Boggs. The family will receive friends Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Owen officiating. A private family committal will be held at Graceland East Memorial Park, Simpsonville, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Hill Baptist Church, 909 Plantation Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the residence.
