SANDY SPRINGS, SC RUBY GENTRY October 9, 1926 - July 28, 2012 Ruby Mae Powell Gentry, age 85, of Sandy Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Powell and the late Effie Jordan Powell. Mrs. Gentry was a bookkeeper for many years with Carolina Mop Manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, Greg Gentry of Sandy Springs, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hobson Gentry, her sister, Minnie Lee Powell and her brother, Frank P. Powell.
