RUBY JANET HEWELL March 16, 1944 - November 5, 2005ANDERSON, SCMrs. Ruby Janet Chasteen Hewell, age 61 formerly of 620 Elm Avenue, Anderson, SC, and wife of the late Leroy Edward Hewell, died Saturday, November 05, 2005 at Morningside Assisted Living in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of Ruby Mae Chasteen of Anderson, SC and the late Charlie Chasteen. Mrs. Hewell was a graduate of Girls' High School and attended Forrest Junior College. She was retired from Anderson County School District 5 and was a member of Christ Church, EPC in Anderson.In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Tim Hewell, a daughter, Pam Hewell Dill; two sisters, Marcella Jefferson and Susan Witt and one grandchild, all of Anderson, SC.Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 3:00 pm at Christ Church, EPC officiated by the Reverend Bill Hyer. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at Christ Church, EPC on Monday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Pam Hewell Dill, 618 Elm Avenue, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
