RUBY HURT May 20, 1922 - December 29, 2005ANDERSON, SCMrs. Ruby Davis Hurt, age 83, formerly of 104 Shirley Street, Anderson, SC, wife of the late Herbert Hurt, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Brookside Living Center in Anderson.Born in Abbeville, SC on May 20, 1922, Mrs. Hurt was a daughter of the late Robert Newton Davis and Essie Saxon Davis. She was formerly employed with Bobby Dan Manufacturing Company and was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God.Survivors include a son, Tony Hurt of Anderson, SC; daughters, Pat Baxter and Shirley Brown, both of Anderson, SC; a granddaughter reared in the home, Tonya Selman; a sister, Sybil Sharpe of Greenwood, SC, ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira Davis and Bob Davis and four sisters, Lucia Brock, Mable McClain, Eunice Enlow and Myrtle Ashley.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Ed Nelson.
