RUBY LOVE Ruby Irene Davis Love, age 90, of 1207 Autun Road, Pendleton, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greenville, SC on September 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Lucienda Spearman Davis and the late James Pinkney Davis. Mrs. Love was the loving and devoted wife of the late Roy Lee Love for 52 years until his death in 1997. Mrs. Love was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville. She was retired from Michelin North America. Prior to her work with Michelin, she worked with the Milliken Excelsior Finishing Plant in Pendleton. Her hobby and special interest was flowers which she enjoyed so much. Ruby was a member of LaFrance Church of God. Survivors include a son, Gary J. Love and wife Purita, of Anderson; 2 daughters, Carolyn Sammons of LaFrance and Janice Taylor and husband Ralph, of Pendleton; 1 brother, Kenneth Davis of Anderson; 3 sisters, Bobbie Lanier and husband Harold, of Anderson, Margaret Glazener of Anderson, and Gwen Richey and her husband Bobby, of LaFrance; an uncle, Curtis Davis and wife, Alice of Anderson; and aunt, Colleen Timms of Anderson; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Love also leaves behind her little Pomeranian, Teddy, her beloved companion and friend. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruby was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Burton and a grandson, Stacey Sammons. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Love will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the LaFrance Church of God, with Rev. Roger Allison and Rev. Mark Daniel officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum. The family will be at the residence, and will receive friends at LaFrance Church of God on Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Love may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
