SELMAN May 15, 1936 - June 15, 2013 Ruby Magnolia Manning Selman, age 77, of 309 Hugh Street, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge C. Manning and the late Leona Hasting Manning. For over 57 years, she was the devoted wife of the late Truman Clarence Selman until his death in 1997. Mrs. Selman was a member of Homeland Park Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed camping and focused on loving and caring for her grandchildren. Survivors include 2 sons, Jimmy E. Selman of Anderson and Tony Lee Selman and his wife, Gail Wright, of Anderson; 1 daughter, Sandra S. Haulbrook and her husband, Roger, of Seneca; and 1 sister, Ethel Gibson of Anderson. Ruby is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Truman, Mrs. Selman was preceded in death by a son, Randall Clarence Selman, and a daughter-in-law, Janice Selman. A funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Selman will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 11 AM, at the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Roger Haulbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of Tony Selman, 3308 Roosevelt Ct., Anderson, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 7 PM until 9 PM.
