Ruby H. Martin, age 93, of Anderson, SC, wife of the late Roy H. Martin, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Born in Hart County, GA, June 19, 1914, Ruby was a daughter of the late Thomas Jasper Heaton and Nellie Dunn Heaton. For 85 years, she was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she attended the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Golden Age Club and the Helping Hands Auxiliary. She was a textile employee retiring from Scott Manufacturing. She is survived by a sister, Maggie H.Aiken of Greenville, SC, and a brother-in-law, Joseph M. Martin of Anderson, SC; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a sister, Susie H. Martin, her brothers, Columbus, Haley, Ardis and Clarence Heaton; a son, Edwin Martin and a grandson, Mike Martin. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Brent Lollis officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.The family will be at the home of Joseph M. Martin, 2800 Pope Drive, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
