Ruby D. McCurley ANDERSON, SC Ruby Delia McCurley, age 88 of Anderson, SC passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House in Sherrills Ford, NC. Born in Anderson County, SC on December 2, 1925, Ruby was a daughter of the late Oscar Jones and the late Agnes Allen Jones. Ruby was retired from Anderson School District #5. She also worked for Anderson Memorial Hospital and Abney Mills. Ruby is survived by two children, Don McCurley and his wife Betty of Sunset Beach, NC and Glenda Moon and her husband Darrell of Maiden, NC; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, all of Anderson, SC, Betty Anderson, Dorothy Kirby and Faye Bowman. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, of 45 years, Rufus Glen McCurley and their daughter, Sandra McCurley LeCroy. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
