Ruby Davis Skelton, age 95, of Townville, SC, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born March 12, 1929, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Bartley Frank Davis and Minnie Cantrell Davis. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Albert Brooks; second husband, Ohland E. Skelton; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Ruby had a talent for many things including sewing, needlework, and ceramics. She loved growing blueberries and was affectionately known as the "Blueberry Lady" in Townville. She was a longtime and oldest member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was ready to meet her Lord and Savior and see her family and friends who had gone on before her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Campbell (Henry); brother, William E. "Buddy" Davis (Linda); sister, Betty Brooks; grandson, Christopher Campbell (Gloria); and great grandchildren, Olivia and Owen.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 am at Oakdale Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 am with Dr. David Blizzard and Rev. Tim Marcengill officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
