She was a homemaker and the last surviving member of her immediate family.Survivors include her daughters Betty Lee and her husband Alford Lee of Pendleton, SC and Diane Kernels and her husband Bryan Kernels of Anderson, SC. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Maxie Thomas, three brothers, and three sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11:00am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Reverend Chris Sustar and Chaplain Debra Broadwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.The family will be at the homes' of her daughters, Betty Lee, 6931 Liberty Hwy, Pendleton, SC 29670 and Diane Kernels, 406 Binewood Lane, Anderson, SC 29625.Flowers are optional.
