YARBOROUGH April 29, 1919 - August 6, 2009ANDERSON, SC'Granny' Ruby Neal Yarborough, age 90 of 6007 Wild Cherry Court, died Thursday, August 06, 2009 at her residence.Born in Oconee County, SC on April 29, 1919, Mrs. Yarborough was a daughter of the late Horace Irvin Neal and Pearl Taylor Neal. She was a graduate of DAR High School in Salem, SC. She retired from Sangamo Electric in West Union, SC and was a former employee of Bobbie Dan Manufacturing. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Oconee County and presently attending Grace Memorial Baptist Church where she was a prayer warrior. She had a passion for flowers and gardening. Survivors include her son, Thomas Ray Yarborough and his wife, Janice of Copperas Cove, TX; daughter, Leona Gurley and companion, Frank Murphy of Anderson; brother, B. F. Neal of Anderson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Walker Yarborough; six brothers and three sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Mark Dickson and Sam Chasteen.
