Rudolph "Rudy" Samuel Carpentieri, age 88, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Samuel and Marietta Pistachio Carpentieri. He was an avid Yankees Fan and loved sports, especially baseball. He is survived by his wife, Helen Belton Carpentieri; a daughter, Angela Shapiro, her husband David and their two children, Danielle and Alyssa Shapiro, all of Shoreham, NY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Carpentieri. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home.
