Byce, age 77, formerly of Anderson, SC died Friday, August 8, 2008 at Mountain Home Health and Rehab, Hendersonville, NC.Born in Anderson, SC on February 7, 1931, Mr. Byce was a son of the late Roy Byce and Gladys Brooks Byce. He was a graduate of Boys' High and had worked with Fluor Daniel Construction for 25 years. He was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Byce was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.He is survived by his sons Rick Byce and his wife, Judy of Simpsonville, SC, Dale Byce of Anderson, SC and Brad Byce and his wife, Jean of Sandy Springs, SC; daughter, Kim McLeroy and her husband Jeff of Easley, SC and step-son, Mike Sanders of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Byce was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Coil Byce and his brother, Troy Byce.The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
