MARION TAYLORSeptember 10, 1927 - November 8, 2011ANDERSON, SCRufus Marion Taylor, age 84, of 405 Meadowpark Drive, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.Born in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Rufus Taylor and Anna Belle Green Taylor. He was a United States Navy World War II veteran having served in the Philippines in the South Pacific. Mr. Taylor was a partner in R & R Chevrolet in Toccoa, GA and was also a certified commercial pilot and flight instructor at the Anderson Airport, training Clemson University Air Force ROTC candidates. He was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wilma Sue Speer Taylor; sons, Eddie Taylor (Christine), Purlear, NC, Tim Taylor, and Tony Taylor (Lisa) all of Anderson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jim Taylor and a sister, Norma Taylor Brown.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, officiated by the Reverend Brent Lollis and Harry Osborne.
